My career in double glazing.

It all started at the young age of 17 when I first started work in double glazing for a company called Empire 2000 on canvey island. It was only a small company there I learned all I needed to when it comes to making double glazed sealed units. How to lead make Georgians, Bevels, colours and cut glass. I ended up running the business and only left when my employer decided to retire. After Empire 2000 I went to work for degema trade Windows on canvey island as a supervisor increasing there work load in a matter of weeks, while working there I got head hunted to work for profile 2000 on canvey island where once again was employed as a supervisor increasing production within the company. After 6 years working for profile 2000 I felt like a change and started working for GJB in Raleigh on the night shift manufacturing upvc Windows and doors and true to form was the fastest employe to ever get promoted in the history of the company to leading charge hand. I stayed there for a few years until my eldest child started infant school I then decided to get a day job at fortress aluminium and after a year got promoted to factory floor manager. That is where I work at the moment. And have decided to become my own boss that's when I decided to start doing some work for myself and that's when I thought of Glass by design.
